Bin collections

Homes across Buckinghamshire have regular collections of:

  • recycling
  • garden waste
  • food waste
  • general waste

There are also collections for clinical waste, bulky waste and more.

Recycling centres

All residents can visit the 10 household recycling centres managed by Buckinghamshire Council across the county to dispose of waste.

Street cleaning

Buckinghamshire Council works hard to keep the streets clean.

Litter picking, emptying of litter bins, clearing of illegally dumped waste are all part of keeping our lovely county clean.

Waste disposal

Waste prevention

It's important that we all try to reduce how much waste we produce. Buckinghamshire Council works with local community groups, commercial partners, schools and more to help people make changes to their behaviour that reduce waste.

How we're doing

England aims to recycle (or compost) over 65% of its waste by 2035.

The current national rate is 44%.

Buckinghamshire Council recycled or composted 49.6% of it's waste in 2022 to 23.
